Code of Conduct
The ethical standards that govern how CALIM Technology Services builds software, handles data, and conducts business — everywhere we operate.
Last updated: 12 June 2026
1. Purpose and Scope
This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of professional behaviour expected of every director, employee, contractor, and associate of CALIM Technology Services Pvt. Ltd. ("CTS"). It applies across all our offices — India, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the USA — and to every engagement, product, and client relationship without exception.
CTS builds systems that hold commercially sensitive contract and project data for major infrastructure organisations. The trust placed in us is the foundation of our business; this Code exists to protect it.
2. Professional Integrity
- We provide honest assessments of scope, cost, feasibility, and risk — even when the honest answer is not the commercially convenient one.
- We do not overstate the capabilities of our products or misrepresent expected outcomes.
- We deliver what we commit to, and we communicate early and clearly when circumstances change.
- We respect the intellectual property of clients, partners, and third parties.
3. Confidentiality and Data Protection
- Client contract data, project records, and commercial strategies are held in strict confidence and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the applicable engagement agreement.
- Access to client data is restricted to personnel who require it for their specific responsibilities.
- We never disclose client identities or engagement details in public communications without explicit prior consent.
- Suspected data incidents are escalated immediately and handled transparently with affected clients.
4. Responsible Use of AI
Artificial intelligence is central to our products. We hold ourselves to specific standards in how we build and deploy it:
- Human oversight. AI outputs in our platforms — clause extraction, risk flags, predictive analytics — are decision-support tools. Material commercial decisions remain with qualified humans.
- Data stewardship. Client data is never used to train machine-learning models without the client's explicit written consent.
- Transparency. Where AI contributes to an output, we make that clear. We do not present machine-generated analysis as human expert opinion.
- Accuracy and bias. We test our models against real-world contract data, monitor for systematic error, and correct issues promptly when found.
5. Anti-Bribery and Corruption
- CTS prohibits the offering, giving, soliciting, or accepting of bribes, kickbacks, facilitation payments, or improper inducements of any kind — directly or through intermediaries.
- We comply with applicable anti-corruption legislation in every jurisdiction where we operate, including India's Prevention of Corruption Act, the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and equivalent laws in the GCC.
- Gifts and hospitality may only be given or received where they are modest, transparent, and incapable of influencing a business decision.
6. Conflicts of Interest
- Personnel must disclose any personal, financial, or professional interest that could conflict — or appear to conflict — with their duties to CTS or its clients.
- Where CTS serves clients with potentially adverse commercial interests, we apply information barriers and disclose the position to affected parties where appropriate.
7. Fair Dealing and Competition
- We compete on the merit of our products and people, not through misrepresentation of competitors or improper access to confidential information.
- We participate in procurement processes honestly and in accordance with their stated rules.
8. Workplace Standards
- CTS maintains a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and provides equal opportunity regardless of gender, religion, nationality, caste, age, or disability.
- We comply with applicable labour and employment law in every jurisdiction where we employ staff.
9. Reporting Concerns
Anyone — employee, client, or third party — who becomes aware of conduct that may breach this Code is encouraged to report it to [email protected]. Reports are handled confidentially, investigated promptly, and may be made anonymously. CTS prohibits retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
10. Review
This Code is reviewed periodically by CTS leadership and updated as our products, jurisdictions, and obligations evolve. The current version is always published on this page.
